  • Tissue array production and analysis, cytogenetics/FISH analysis
  • Standard histology and immunohistochemistry
  • Seifert HS320, 320 kV orthovoltage x-ray machines
  • Confocal microscopy and high throughput high content screens
  • Machine shop and electronics shop facilities are available as part of the Clinical Physics Division of the British Columbia Cancer Agency (hospital, across the road)


As the official student and post-doc society at the BC Cancer Agency, GrasPods is the one-stop shop for moving ideas of its members into action. Events and initiatives of this student/fellow self-managed organization has brought into the BC Cancer Research Centre team sport activities and Jobs in Science Interview Series. GrasPods has also been serving as a representative on the UBC Graduate Student Society board in efforts to raise awareness of the needs of off-campus students.
